Oracle Grid 11.2 -- Ignoring Pre-check for node addition on Linux

Problem

You are adding a new node to Oracle 11.2.0.3 GI cluster configuration on Linux. Executing ./addNode.sh fails with error:

Pre-check for node addition was unsuccessful on all the nodes.  

You want to ignore failed pre-checks to allow the node addtion to proceed.

Solution

Add environment variable IGNORE_PREADDNODE_CHECKS=Y and retry.
